The Royal Forest Of Dean Orchestra celebrates 25 years with this concert.

Date:  Saturday 16th June 2018

  • Rach Piano Concerto no. 1
  • Freya Ireland: Commissioned work for the orchestra celebrating the 25th Anniv. -Serpents Of the Dean
  • Ralph Vaughan-Williams: Orchestral prelude: ‘Rhosymedre’
  • Dvorak: Symphony no. 9 in E minor. Op. 95 B.178  ‘From The New World’

Soloist: Adam Heron – Glocs. young music of the year 2016, Piano category finalist BBC young musician of the year 2018.

Tickets:  Adults £10/concessions £8 (over 65/unwaged). Free entry to those still at school. Tickets available on the door.

Retiring Collection: Monetary donations for The Forest Foodbank

Parking: Parking is free in Coleford in the evenings. The car park next to the Church is likely to be full with orchestra members cars. The roads in the centre of Coleford will be closed during the day and early evening for the Christmas Market and Light  Switch On. Although the advance warning signs say 10.00 -20.00 hours maximum we have been told that the roads should hopefully be open by  about 18.30.

By the way, our next concert will be at Newnham On Severn Church. Keep the date  17th March 2018 in your diaries.
