The Royal Forest of Dean Orchestra has dedicated its Spring Concert concert on SaturdayMarch 29 to the memory of one of its members violinist  Mary Milne, who died from a brain tumour earlier this year at the age of 63.   A retiring collection is being held in aid of the Brian Tumour Charity.

The concert, featuring soloist Simon Smith playing Brahms’ Violin Concerto and  Dvorak’s Symphony No 6, is being held at St Peter’s Church, Newnham-on-Severn at 7.30pm. Tickets are available on the door at £8, with concessions for under-25s and over-65s at £5 and school children free.
