Don’t miss the chance to hear award-winning county cellist Rebecca McNaught at the our Spring Concert on Saturday (March 19), 7.30pm at St Peter’s Church, Newnham-on-Severn. The Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year 2015 will be playing Elgar’s heart-breakingly beautiful Cello Concerto under the baton of talented 25-year-old musical director Jack Lovell. Not only will this Elgar favourite be performed, but also the Enigma Variations – which will stretch the orchestra to its limit! To start the evening there’ll be Mendelssohn’s Overture ‘Calm Sea and a Prosperous Voyage’. Tickets on the door £8 (concessions £6) school children free.
